Baia dei Turchi lies north of Otranto, near the Alimini lakes. Pale sand, shallow water and Mediterranean vegetation characterise this bay. According to tradition, its name recalls the Ottoman landing associated with the 15th-century siege of Otranto.
The path leads from the shade of pines to the light of the shore. It guides the gaze, then sets it free before the sea. This alternation of lines, pauses and openness gives the stop its simplicity.
